Evervas-10 contains atorvastatin, a statin that lowers LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides while nudging HDL (good) cholesterol up. It works by slowing the liver’s cholesterol production. Doctors prescribe it for high cholesterol and to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease. Take it once a day, at the same time each day, with or without food. Muscle pain, weakness or dark urine need a doctor’s attention right away. Avoid large amounts of grapefruit juice. It works best alongside a low-fat diet and regular exercise, with periodic liver and cholesterol tests.
