Fexogap-M combines fexofenadine with montelukast to handle allergy symptoms from two sides. Fexofenadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine that clears sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose and skin itching. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, the chemicals behind swelling in the nose and airways, so it eases blocked nose, wheeze and allergic cough. Doctors suggest this pairing for seasonal allergies, dust and pollen allergy, and allergic rhinitis with mild asthma. It usually doesn’t cause much sleepiness, though a few people feel a little tired. Take one tablet once a day, preferably in the evening, as your doctor advises. Avoid fruit juice within an hour of taking it, since juice can reduce absorption.
