Furowell-500 contains cefuroxime axetil, a second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that fights many common bacteria. It’s widely used for tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, sinus and ear infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections and early Lyme disease. The body absorbs it best when taken right after food, so don’t take it on an empty stomach. Mild loose stools or nausea can happen, and they usually pass. Take the tablets at the same times each day and finish the entire course, even if symptoms vanish within a couple of days. It is for use only on a registered doctor’s prescription. Keep the strip away from heat, damp and direct sunlight.
